Privacy Policy

This describes what personal information Cascadle collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have — including around the photos and camera data our virtual try-on features depend on.

Last updated: 9 August 2026

Cascadle is built by PixelAI Pvt Limited ("Cascadle", "we", "us"), based in Bengaluru, India. This policy applies to the Cascadle mobile app and to cascadle.com. It works alongside our Terms of Use — together they govern how we handle your information.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what's needed to run the app and the features you actually use.

  • Account information — your name and mobile number. Your mobile number is your primary identifier and how we deliver one-time passcodes (OTP) for sign-in.
  • Photos and content you create — images you capture or upload for virtual try-on, garment and person photos, AI-generated backgrounds, style boards, and comparisons you save.
  • Face and liveness data — see Section 2 below; this is handled separately because of how sensitive it is.
  • Usage and device data — general app-interaction and device information collected through analytics, used to understand what's working and fix what isn't.
  • Purchase information — when you buy tokens or subscribe, the purchase itself is processed by Apple, Google, or our payment partner; we never see or store your full card, UPI, or bank details.

2. Face and liveness data — handled separately, on purpose

To confirm you're a real person adding your own photo — and not a static image used to impersonate someone — the app may ask you to blink during face capture. This liveness check briefly processes facial imagery on your device to verify movement. We treat this as sensitive information: it's used strictly for that verification and fraud-prevention purpose, is not used to identify you across other services, and is not sold or shared with advertisers. If a captured reference photo is saved to your account (for example, as part of "My Reflection"), it's stored the same way as any other photo you upload, under your control and deletable at any time.

3. How we use your information

  • To operate core features — virtual try-on, background generation, planning, and comparisons.
  • To verify your identity at sign-in and to prevent impersonation during face capture.
  • To process purchases and maintain your token balance and its validity period.
  • To send service messages — OTPs, purchase confirmations, and support responses.
  • To understand app usage and improve reliability and features.
  • To improve our products, we may use content you upload in anonymised form — meaning it's stripped of anything that identifies you before it's used this way, consistent with our Terms of Use.

4. Who we share information with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the app, and only for that purpose:

  • 2Factor.in — delivers the SMS containing your OTP.
  • Google Firebase — app analytics and crash diagnostics.
  • Google Cloud Platform — hosts our servers and databases; your account and content data is stored on infrastructure located in India.
  • Apple, Google, and our payment partner — process purchases. Payment card and UPI details go directly to them; we don't receive or store them.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Cascadle, our users, or the public.

5. How long we keep your information

We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information and content within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain certain records by law (for example, transaction records for tax purposes) or where anonymised data has already been separated from anything that identifies you.

6. Your rights and choices

You can review and update your name and mobile number from within the app at any time. You can permanently delete your account and associated data from Profile → Delete Account in the app. You can also reach out to us directly for access, correction, or deletion requests, or with any other privacy question, at info@cascadle.com.

7. Children's privacy

Cascadle is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

8. Data security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption and access controls — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, or loss.

9. International use

Your data is primarily stored on servers located in India. If you use Cascadle from outside India, some of the third parties in Section 4 — including Apple and Google — may process information as part of their own global services, which can involve transferring data outside India.

10. Grievance officer

In accordance with applicable Indian data protection law, questions, complaints, or grievances about how we handle your personal information can be directed to Cascadle Support at info@cascadle.com. We aim to acknowledge and address grievances promptly.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
